Dizaster & Billy Boondocks Fight At "Back To Basics"

EXCLUSIVE: Full footage of the argument that led to Dizaster taking down Billy Boondocks, plus some history between the two emcees.

KOTD's "Back To Basics" event in L.A. on Saturday (April 18) was a near perfect event, with the only real bumps being the sounds the crowd heard when Dizaster slammed Billy Boondocks to the ground on the upstairs patio, and perhaps the bumps on Billy Boondocks' head.

As has become somewhat the norm at West Coast battle events, Boondocks was attempting to antagonize top tier battlers (this time Dizaster and The Saurus) into a spontaneous battle.

Both Diz and Billy were at the event as spectators, with Diz nearing the end of his scheduled 12-month ban from appearing on KOTD cards for punching Math Hoffa in their battle at end of June last year.

The run-in with Dizaster wasn't Billy's first of the night. He almost squared up with KOTD staff member J-Pro when trying to get into the venue. As J-Pro told us:

He basically thought he was important enough to get in for free, then for a discount. Then when I saw that he actually had the money I called him on it and he got even more disrespectful. We went out into the alley, it got pretty heated and security got involved. Billy apologized, went inside and within an hour he was getting choke slammed. He's not allowed at any more of our events. 100%.

Here's the full footage of what happened:

After things calmed down, security arrived on the scene and removed Boondocks. Dizaster stayed for the rest of the event, seemingly with no more issues.

The hostility between Diz and Billy didn't come from out of nowhere. They've been trading occasional shots on Twitter recently but their history goes back as far as 2009, when they battled at Grind Time's local L.A. "Bar Exam" series. For that match-up, Billy went by the name "Mr. ET." This was around the same time that Dizaster was riding a wave of popularity and in the battle he outclassed his unknown opponent.

Mr. E.T. disappeared from the scene after that battle, re-appearing three years later on AHAT and KOTD's "Prove Yourself" channels with a new name: Billy Boondocks. His never-say-die attitude in battles and on social media (along with his flashy fashion sense) started catching people's attention and his biggest opportunity came late in 2014, when he won a freestyle tournament that landed him on the "Ether" card in a battle against Rum Nitty. Most fans had him losing the battle clearly, though he was the only emcee on the card that made Dish Nation's segment about the event.

Boondocks is becoming increasingly known among top tier West Coast rappers, mostly because he's always trying to get them to battle him.

Sometimes it works.

And sometimes he gets clowned for it.

There were also rumblings of Boondocks attempting to fight Lush One at an L.A. GZGP event last month, though the two settled their differences enough to be interviewed together by BattleRap.com at Snoop Dogg's recent "Take Flight On Sight" event (though we haven't dropped the footage yet).

Keep an eye out for a Billy Boondocks and Cadalack Ron battle dropping on Lush's "Ether Weekly" show on FilmOn too.
