Dedrick Williams, the first person to be arrested in connection to the murder of XXXTENTACION, has reportedly requested permission to hire a private investigator for his case. The request was made in court documents filed last week, which were recently obtained by The Blast.

Williams reportedly needs the court’s permission to authorize a $10,000 payment for a private investigator’s services. He cannot use the money that was allegedly stolen from XXXTENTACION as it has been entered into evidence.

In addition to a private investigator, Williams has also requested cell phone forensics and cell phone tower analysis. An expert would need to be hired to complete these tasks.

His requests haven’t been granted by a judge as of Monday (August 13).
